WATERLOO withdraw from League

Another club find it difficult to attract players

It is with regret that we have to report the sad withdrawal of Waterloo from Spar Division 1 for the new season. A letter from club Secretary Dave Proctor reads as follows :
"Sad to say that after an emergency committee meeting this evening it is with regret we have made the decision to withdraw from the spar mid Wales league with immediate effect.
We have lost a number of players during the summer and have been unable to replace them.
I would like to thank you for all your help and support over the years and apologise for any inconvenience this will cause".

This is the third club that the Spar League has lost since its AGM back in early June and causes a great concern in the area.
It will be high on the Executive Agenda for their first meeting of the new season due to take place in September.
