A home player collapsed towards the end of a Spar League match yesterday afternoon in Carno.
The match was evenly contested with just six minutes left plus added time when one of the home players collapsed complaining of chest pains and pins and needles in his arms.
An ambulance was called immediately and with the advice not to move the player, the referee in consultation with the teams had no choice other than to abandon the game.
Although shaken up, it is pleasing to report that the player is feeling better today.
The match will have to be replayed later on in the season and we wish the player all the very best for a full and speedy recovery.
