Rhosgoch were crowned champions by Spar Mid Wales League ecretary after their 6-0 victory over Newbridge-on-Wye last evening.
It was a truly remarkable turnaround from twelve months ago when it looked as if the team might fold.
The lads at Rhosgoch though rallied round and with some additions have had an excellent season losing just two league games to thoroughly deserve to win the Division 2 title.
Secretary Woosnam will be recommending that the team are able to take their rightful position in Spar 1 for next season after reviewing the excellent work that has taken place at the ground during the past few months.
The ground now has a new stand which has been constructed by the players/committee and also has now got toilet facilities on site for the comfort of match spectators. All this has been grant aided by the Welsh Ground Improvements committee via the FAW.
A truly remarkable turn around and the team should certainly hold their own next season in Spar Division 1.
