Win at Talgarth seals trophy

Montgomery Town FC are the inaugural Spar Mid Wales League Division 2 Champions after gaining a 5-1 away victory at Talgarth this afternoon.
They will receive the new Championship Trophy prior to their next home match on Wednesday evening against Llandrindod Wells.
They will take their place in Spar 1 next season at the expense of Presteigne FC who will finish bottom of Spar 1 although they gained a win this afternoon at home to Penparcau.
An inspection of Tregaron's facilities will take place this weekend to see whether or not they meet the necessary criteria for Division 1. If they dont, then there will be probably be no further relegation from the top league.
Rhayader and Welshpool have been relegated from the Cymru Alliance and either Berriew or Llanrhaeadr (subject to a criteria inspection next week) will be promoted. The league had one vacancy this season as a result of Hay's late withdrawal.
