Machynlleth FC win the ER Jenkins Cup with a 1-0 win over rivals

Machynlleth FC brought down the curtain on another but long season winning the ER Jenkins Cup against Tregaron Turfs that is competed between clubs in the MMP Southern Division. Around 350 fans turned up at Aberystwyth's Park Avenue ground to witness a very entertaining match that was settled as early as the 8th minute when Mach's Player Manager Callum Page struck from just inside the box to score the only goal of the match. However, this was not a true reflection of proceedings as both sides squandered clear cut opportunities and the game could have gone either way. In the end, Mach captured the trophy for a second time, 10 years after their first success and Richie Jenkins presented the trophy to captain Alfie Westwood, much to the delight of their supporters.
