LLANIDLOES Town have continued their summer strengthening with the signing of former Newtown and Caersws midfielder, Gareth Mansell.

Mansell signs on at Llani a week after another former Caersws midfielder, Jack Bermingham, joined the Daffs’ ranks.

The 22-year-old spent the latter part of last season at Spar Mid Wales league side Presteigne after leaving Caersws.

Llani assistant manager, Peter Jones, said the club are delighted to have secured the signature of the midfielder.

He said: “He’s a talented footballer. who has played at the top level for Newtown and Caersws. He’s a ball winner and box-to-box player, which every team needs.”

Jones also revealed that Mansell is likely to be the club’s last signing ahead of the new season. He said: “With him and Jack Bermingham, and we’ve still got Colin Reynolds here, I don’t think we will be looking for anyone else.”
