The Football Association of Wales (FAW) is seeking to appoint an Administrative Assistant within the Discipline Team of the Compliance Department. The FAW is the governing body of football in Wales and is responsible for promoting and developing the game

Job title - Administrative Assistant - Discipline

Reports to: Disciplinary Officer
Salary Circa £14,000 plus Performance Related Bonus
& Benefits Package
Hours of Work 35 hours per week. Monday – Friday
Contractual Status Permanent – subject to 6 months probationary period

Purpose
The successful candidate will be required to support the Discipline Team of the Compliance Department processing reports submitted by Match Officials and assisting with the organisation and staffing of Disciplinary and Appeal hearings.

The candidate will join the Compliance Department at an exciting time as they will also be required to assist with initiatives such as the FAW’s Fair Play Award and the Off the Pitch social media campaign.

Responsibilities
• To process report forms submitted by Match Officials onto the FAW’s database.
• Assist with the arrangement and staffing of disciplinary hearings to consider misconduct reports and appeals.
• To assist in the delivery and development of the FAW Fair Play Award and the Off the Pitch social media campaign.
• To assist in the production of literature for the Compliance Department to be distributed to football clubs and players.
• The candidate may be required to undertake additional duties outside of the usual role assisting other departments e.g. assisting on international match days.

Skills & Competencies
• Experience of Microsoft applications, for example Word, Excel and Outlook are essential.
• Experience of data entry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a self-motivated individual.
• Demonstrate flexibility.
• Show willingness to learn.
• Demonstrate attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• The ability to work outside of normal working hours.
• Possess an understanding of social media and its impact.
• Knowledge of the Laws of the Game.
• Knowledge of domestic football in Wales.
• Educated to degree level.
• The ability to speak Welsh would be advantageous.

The position is full time and based at the FAW Headquarters in Cardiff. The post holder may be required to carry out additional work outside of normal office hours and in different locations, domestically & internationally, at the discretion of the Head of Compliance.
