South with comfortable 3-0 home win

The MMP with Norman Lloyd Central Wales League (South) kicked-off this evening as hosts Hay St Mary's FC defeated newly-promoted Penybont United 3-0 at Forest Road.
Jack Biggs (pictured) handed the Saints a 26th minute lead from the penalty spot after referee Callum Richards penalised Polecats custodian Barry Evans for his challenge on Matty Tong. Biggs doubled his personal tally in the 69th minute, to increase the host's lead, when he was picked out by Jack Cripps before coolly sliding the ball past Evans. The scoring was completed with five minutes remaining on the clock when Cripps once again provided the assist to allow Adi Lawford to tap the ball home from close-range to seal an opening night victory for the Aspidistra Radnorshire Cup holders.
