Spar Clubs get difficult draws

News - Holders face Berriew in the FAW Trophy

The draw for the 2nd Round of the FAW Trophy was held on Tuesday 24th August 2010 at 3:45pm in the FAW Headquarters in Cardiff.

The holders Glan Conwy FC have a home draw against Spar Mid Wales 1 leaders Berriew FC, who have won both of their League games to date.

Meliden's reward for their win over Denbigh in Round 1 is a home draw against another former Cymru Alliance side, Bethesda Athletic.

Minnows FC Nomads of Connah's Quay face a daunting trip to Mid Wales to face Llanidloes Town.

In the south, one of the favourites for the competition Newport YMCA will travel to RTB Ebbw Vale in an all-Gwent affair, whilst Ton & Gelli Boys Club make the long trip west to Pembrokeshire to face Pennar Robins, who impressed in the last Round, winning 6-2 against Presteigne St. Andrews.
