Another team withdraws from the Central Wales League

Southern Division for Season 2022-2023

Brecon Town have made a late decision to withdraw from the Central Wales League Southern Division. The club ended last season in second place in the Watson Financial Mid Wales League South and made an official application to join the fourth tier and only last month their position was confirmed at the League's AGM in Llanidloes.

The club was formed as Brecon Northcote six years ago and has since gone from strength to strength while also investing in their facilities at the BSA Sports Field. Last year the club completed a merger with Brecon Junior Football Club to become Brecon Football Club and have not looked back and have now underlined their ambitions to climb the pyramid and follow in the footsteps of town rivals Brecon Corries. The League is very saddened by this decision following the footsteps of Newcastle Emlyn FC only just a couple of weeks ago.
The Southern Division will now operate with only 12 teams for next season and the ER Jenkins will again be revamped for 2 Divisions of 6 with the Radnor based clubs in 1 division and the Ceredigion based club in the other to make up for the loss of fixtures
