BERRIEW win trophy

In a well attended Spar League Cup final at Llanidloes this evening, Berriew won the final by 5 goals to 2 against Montgomery.
In an entertaining match, Montgomery gave as good as they got in the first halfand came in at half-time all square at 2 goals apiece.
It was only in the second half when the large volume of games seem to finally have caught up with them and also with league top scorer Will Thomas scoring a final day hat-trick, Berriew gained the upper hand and scorred three without reply.
