Promotion/Relegation News

Right down to the wire

The promotion/relegation issues are likely to go right down to the wire this season.
Both issues are very much dependant upon results elsewhere in that the Welsh Premier League relegation places have an impact on the Spar League.
This is due to the fact that if nobody comes down from the North in that league, then it means that one fewer club gets relegated from the Cymru Alliance and this affects the Spar League.
Llanrhaeadr and Penrhyncoch seem destined to be in the Spar League next season but Rhayader and Llanidloes may still join them if results go against either.
It certainly seems likely that three clubs will look to gain promotion from the CA feeder league (including the Spar League).
Llandrindod and Llanfair now head the table and both are looking to gain promotion whilst Berriew and Carno are still in the title race.
In the second division, Rhosgoch and Mavhynlleth still have work to do on their facilities whilst Knighton and Hay are also looking to gain promotion by getting in top two positions.
If two do come up, then as many as four may be relegated from Division 1 as per the above scenarios.
All we can say is that every match will certainly have plenty to play for until the end of the season is reached.
