Pitch Inspections Completed

Three clubs looking to step up

Pitch inspections at the three applicant grounds have been completed by Executive Members Phil Jones and Phil Woosnam.
Aberdyfi and Machynlleth have applied from the Cambrian Tyres League whilst Knighton are the only applicants from the Mid Wales League South.
No applications were received from the Montgomeryshire Amateur League this year or the Ceredigion League.
All applicants were succesful in meeting the required ground criteria but they will not necessarily all get into the Spar League Division 2.
Firstly, they need to finish as Champions or Runners Up in their respective Leagues.
Being that two clubs are from the same area, then initially, it will probably be an either or scenario.
Then, if there are vacancies, their applications will be considered at the Leagues AGM in June.
So,plenty to play for in the remaining months of the season for all cllubs involved.
Knighton , at present, are also unlikely to fill either of the top two positions and will probably have to rely on a vacancy.
The vacanacy situation will not be clear until after the league season is complete as it depends mainly on how many relegated Cymru Alliance clubs will drop into the Spar League Division 1 thus causing a cascade effect.
