PENRHYNCOCH take the honours

By Phil Woosnam

after a 3-0 victory at Borth FC aginst Bow Street

Penrhyncoch won the Spar League Cup final after an excellent 3-0 victory over near neighbours Bow Street at a sun drenched Borth Fc ground whioh was in excellent condition.
Great credit goes to the hosts who provided an excellent surface on which the final was played. Bow Street got off to a fast start but after hitting the post and bar early on, Penrhyn scored against the run of play and Mattie Davies went on to score a hat-trick in the space of half an hour to kill the game off.
Even though Bow Street had a lot of the ball and once again hit the woodwork in the second period, it was not to be and Penrhyn held firm to receive the trophy from Dylan Roberts from the local Spar shop in Bow Street.
This meant that Bow Street were once again runners-up this season as they were last year.
The game was watched by over 400 spectators which was a credit to both clubs
