Kerry on top of Division 2

By Phil Woosnam

Surprises every week

In the newly formed Spar League Division 2, Kerry are the early pacesetters after another home victory against Tregaron Turfs by 4 goals to 3. They are now four points clear of the chasing pack and travel to Four Crosses at the weekend.

Abermule are second after a home draw against favourites Montgomery and next week travel to Tregaron Turfs where they wont find it easy.

The only other 100% record in the league is that of Rhosgoch who after their crushing 10-0 win against Talgarth gained another good victory at home to Llandrindod this Saturday.

Talgarth re-grouped this week and won away at Meifod and will hope to continue their form at home to pointless Llanfair Utd next Saturday.

Aberaeron are also without a point and will find it difficult this week as well away at Llandrindod who will be looking to bounce back quickly.

Llanfyllin face a local derby against Meifod this week boosted by their fine win away at Bont after being 2 goals down at half-time.

Montgomery and Bont face each other in another enthralling fixture to complete the weekend programme.
