Llanrhaeadr bow out of JD Welsh Cup

with their heads held high

Llanrhaeadr bowed out of the JD Welsh Cup yesterday after an exciting tie which had everything; goals, sending offs, cautions, missed chances.
The eventual score was a 3-2 victory for Bangor City but certainly the match was an excellent advertisement for the cup competition and the excellent crowd that witnessed the tie.
Llanrhaeadr took the lead early on with a penalty from Iwan Matthews but Bangor City hit back soon afterwards and went in front midway through the half for a 2-1 lead at half time.
Things looked ominous for the home team when Bangor scored a third early in the second half but a tremendous fighting spirit from the home team got them back into it and they were very unfortunate not to take the tie into extra time.

Well done Llanrhaeadr and the best of luck to Bangor City for the remainder of the competition.
