FOUR CROSSES opt to be relegated

By Phil Woosnam

and move down to the MAL for next season

A recent letter received by the League has confirmed that Four Crosses have elected to be relegated to the Montgomeryshire Amateur League for next season as they finished in one of the relegation places. Part of the letter read as follows :

"Although a difficult decision to take it was felt as a committee that at this time it was the right one for the club to take. Having finished close to the bottom of Spar Division 2 over the past couple of seasons, our squad of players are not strong enough to compete as we would like in the league. On top of this, the travelling to away games is an ever increasing problem with several of the squad working on Saturday mornings. In short, we feel that a season or two in the amateur league will help us to recruit and rebuild the team, hopefully returning to the Spar Mid Wales League in the near future.
In Closing, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your officers for all the help and support you have afforded Four Crosses F.C. over the many years and wish you all the best going forward"
