Breaking news from the Bont FC camp - Sion Meredith has signed on for the coming season.

After weeks of speculation linking Meredith with his first club, Bont manager Andre Marsh confirmed today (27/08/10) that the former Welsh Premier League player has signed on the dotted line.

Marsh hopes all the necessary paper work will have been completed in time to include Meredith in his squad for this Sunday evening's league match at Llandrindod Wells.

The signing represents Bont's second former Welsh Premier signings of the summer, after Glyndwr Hughes joined a fortnight ago. Meredith has played for Aberystwyth, Carmarthen, Caersws, Welshpool and most recently, Porthmadog at Wales' highest standard. Like Glyndwr, he is also a familiar face as a pundit on S4C's Sgorio. Meredith has made a total of 234 appearances at Welsh Premier level, scoring 35 goals in the process.
